Banquet-Style Seating

Should you decide to use banquet-style seating for your party, you need to figure out the seating capacity of your space and the type of tables you would like to use.

Divide the square footage of your space by 8, if you're planning to use oblong tables, or by 10, if you decide on round tables. These figures are for maximum seating. If more space is available, add two square feet per person for comfortable seating.

Determine the Accommodation Limits of Your Space

If you plan to use classroom-style seating for your event, measure out the seating area you would like to use. Divide the square feet of that "student" seating area by 8 to determine the number of people you can fit.

For theater-style seating, you can divide the "spectator" seating area's square footage by 6 to figure out the number of people it can accommodate.
